Oxford Consultants for Social Inclusion Ltd (OCSI) is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
As a specialist research, data analytics and software organisation, OCSI recognises its responsibility to minimise the environmental impact of its operations and to support the UK Government’s transition to a low-carbon economy. We are committed to measuring, monitoring and reducing emissions arising from our business activities and to continuously improving our environmental performance over time.
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any additional carbon reduction measures. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.
Financial Year 2025 represents the first year in which OCSI has prepared a Carbon Reduction Plan in accordance with PPN 006 requirements.
OCSI operates primarily as a provider of research, analytical, data and software services. The majority of our work is delivered digitally, with limited requirements for physical infrastructure, transportation or operational activities that generate significant greenhouse gas emissions.
OCSI occupies serviced office accommodation at Plus X Innovation. Utility costs are included within the service agreement and OCSI does not have direct access to metered electricity or gas consumption data attributable to its specific office space. OCSI will continue to engage with its accommodation provider to explore opportunities to obtain more detailed environmental information for future reporting periods.
OCSI does not own or lease any vehicles.
The majority of employees work remotely, and those employees who attend the office typically travel by walking or public transport. No employees routinely commute by private car.
As this is OCSI’s first Carbon Reduction Plan, the baseline year and current reporting year are the same.
| EMISSIONS | TOTAL (tCO₂e) |
|---|---|
| Scope 1 | 0 |
| Scope 2 | To be established through improved data collection |
| Scope 3 (Included Sources) | To be established through improved data collection |
| Total Emissions | Baseline established in 2025 |
0 tCO₂e
Notes:
Emissions associated with purchased electricity, heating and cooling are currently difficult to quantify accurately because OCSI occupies serviced office accommodation and does not receive separately metered energy consumption data.
OCSI will seek to improve the accuracy of Scope 2 reporting through engagement with its accommodation provider and through future collection of building-level sustainability information where available.
The primary Scope 3 emission sources relevant to OCSI are expected to include:
Business travel is generally limited and, where possible, undertaken by rail or public transport.
Employee commuting emissions are relatively low due to a predominantly remote and hybrid working model, with no routine commuting by private vehicle.
OCSI will continue to improve the measurement and reporting of Scope 3 emissions in future reporting periods.

As this is OCSI’s first Carbon Reduction Plan, the current reporting year represents the baseline year against which future reductions will be measured.
To support progress towards Net Zero emissions by 2050, OCSI has adopted the following objectives:
The following measures are already in place and contribute to reducing OCSI’s carbon footprint:
Over the next five years OCSI intends to:
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 006 and associated guidance and reporting standards for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol Corporate Standard and use the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas reporting.
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors of Oxford Consultants for Social Inclusion Ltd.
