Northern Ireland Index of Deprivation 2005 released

The Northern Ireland Statistical Research Agency (NISRA) has now released the new 2005 deprivation measures for the whole of Northern Ireland. The full report can be downloaded from the NISRA website. These new measures are released at the new Super Output Area level. They show that areas around the Falls and Shankill Roads in Belfast have the highest levels of deprivation in Northern Ireland.

OCSI were involved in producing the Northern Ireland Index of Deprivation 2005, helping develop measures of access and distance to services.
