Data Packs update v1.6 provides the latest content

The Data Packs v1.6 update provides users with the latest data, benchmarks and outputs available for all geographies. Key new and updated datasets in v1.6 include:

  • Proportion of households in poverty
  • Workless households
  • Vulnerable children datasets, including children in out-of-work (and lone parent) families, Children in Need, infant mortality
  • Private sector and public sector employment
  • Out-of-work benefits at Output Area level
  • Output Area Classification (OAC)
  • Migration data
  • ONS revisions to the small area population estimates(these affect all indicators based on population rates)
  • Crime in England and Wales
  • Key benefits including Jobseeker’s Allowance, Employment Support Allowance (and Incapacity Benefit), Attendance Allowance, Carer’s Allowance, Housing Benefit, and Council Tax Benefit (updated to the most recently available date)
  • Life Expectancy (updated for 2007-9)
  • Qualification levels
  • Annual Population Survey updates (available down to Local Authority District level)
  • Housing market updates
  • Updates to the National Indicator Set (although no longer mandatory targets, the National Indicators provide a wealth of useful information for local areas to understand needs and performance).
