OCSI is updating the Indices of Deprivation on behalf of The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), including the Index of Multiple Deprivation, for publication in summer 2015.

This consultation asks for views on the final proposals for updating the Indices. These proposals were developed following extensive data exploration and were informed by early engagement exercises with users.

The consultation focuses on a modest number of changes proposed to the approach used in the Indices of Deprivation 2010 and also invites views on dissemination and outputs. Responses will inform the final shape of the updated Indices.

The consultation runs until 19 December at 5:00pm. For details visit: https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/updating-the-english-indices-of-deprivation
