OCSI Director appointed as Local Improvement Advisor

OCSI Director Tom Smith has been appointed as a Local Improvement Advisor, specialising in helping local partners build analytical capability and strengthen performance management.

The Local Improvement Advisors are a panel available to support Local Authorities and Local Strategic Partnerships improve delivery of public services, and have been setup as part of the government’s National Improvement and Efficiency Strategy. They will be co-ordinated by the Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA) and West Midlands Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnership (RIEP).

Tom highlighted “I’m really looking forward to the opportunity as a Local Improvement Advisor to work closely with local researchers and senior management teams to strengthen the use of evidence in improving delivery and outcomes.”
