OCSI have been working with researchers from our ‘parent’ group at Oxford University on a study of the Barton area in Oxford, a small housing estate on the outskirts of the city. Commissioned by the University of Oita in Japan, the project explores a range of evidence to identify the impact of the Barton Neighbourhood Community Project over a  20 year period. OCSI carried out a a case study of the area, using a range of data to explore social and economic trends in Barton, and how these compare with similar areas elsewhere as well as local, regional and national comparisons.
