As part of the evaluation and update of the Rotherham Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy, OCSI have been assessing levels of deprivation across the Borough relative to the broader contexts of England and the Yorkshire and Humber region, using evidence from local and national datasets. Analysis also focused on the key trends within Rotherham, identifying areas and themes that are not meeting relevant Neighbourhood Renewal Floor Targets, and improving targeting of resources and programmes to help these areas close the gap. Outputs from the project included an evidence-driven package of responses to help tackle deprivation issues across Rotherham, and recommendations for further development of the local Performance Management Framework.
